Craft Show!!

Hello everyone,
Ok, finally I'm done with my first craft show! All those overwhelming prepration, hectic and anxious days and are all over. So I was really excited, with high expectations that this is going to be a big and successful one, considering the high booth fee. But was so dissapointed as well as every seller at the show on the way it turned out. Due to lack of advertisement and expensive entrance fee there's probably only a couple of hundred shoppers came, meaning low sales... I was really surprise that I even sold some merchandise, but still i didn't come close to breaking even. I'm just lucky that I get to share my booth as well the fees with another crafter. BTW the show was held in Slidell, LA convetion center. Lesson learned, oh yeah! a whole lot!

Preparing for my first Craft Show..

Well, well here I am getting so overwhelmed with my preparation for my upcoming craft show..
I'm so excited, nervous, happy, etc.. since this is my first one.. I don't excatly know what to expect??? Been very busy lately, I've come up with alot of new ideas and working on them so that I can include them with the rest of my products that I will sell on the show.. Aside from all that my darling hubby just had a surgery last thursday, so I constantly have to check if he's doing ok and remind him to take his medication, Oh did I mention my daughter as well.
So as much as I would like to relax, I get none.. Hehe!! Atleast I still get to watch my shows.. That's all for now folks.. I will be posting some of my latest creations after the show.. Stay tuned, until next time... God Bless You all..

Unexpectedly

So, last Saturday (Aug. 15) I went to a baby shower. I was thinking OH! this is my chance to meet new people . Of course I had my Darling Daughter wear one of my awesome creations... As I expected everyone loved it! So here comes my first official sale in an unexpected situation. I was chatting with this lady who happens to be a mom of two beautiful girls, who happens to be working and live in the same area as we are. Anyhow, OMG! She works at the Fleet and Family Center.. "Ding" a perfect place for me to advertise I said. So I asked her if it is possible..." Absolutely"- she said. And then she asked me what kind of stuff I'm selling? I told her Children's hair bows and pillowcase dresses.. Excitedly she responded- "Oh really, I Love Hair bows, and of course I have to see those dresses too"! So I said sure you can come and look. Long story short,,, she ordered Lots of Bows and a cute pillowcase dress that is customized to her specifications.
And That's the story of my first official sale!!! And remember the best way to advertise is through word of mouth. Happy reading.
